Sinterklaas Surprise '09

"Surprise" made for my niece for Sinterklaas this year. ; )

Made this thing out of a wig head, a monocle, an old top hat, an old dress shirt and an old wig, some red fabric and some sharpie and cardboard. Don't ask where I got the idea. XD There's a chocolate letter under the hat and a 10 euro book coupon under the wig. 8)

A bit of background for you non-Dutchies: around here we have this tradition of an old man called Sinterklaas, who's like Santa but five million times more awesome (trivia: the Coca Cola company actually based Santa on him) who comes 'round once a year bearing presents for all the good little children on the night of 5 December. There's this custom of making little handiworks for family members and hiding a present in there, called "surprises", which is what we did with the family again this year after foregoing it for a few years.

I'm kind of sad I'll be giving this away now to be honest, I love this thing, it's fucking awesome. ;__;
